MBA Accelerated Masters, Pakistan, Urdu

February 23, 2012

I am a cosmopolitan young Pakistani-American woman who is fully fluent in English and Urdu and has a solid working knowledge of Arabic. I am a business woman and I see business as the motor of human improvement and the best way to mend political fences and international business facilitated by my linguistic skills and multi-cultural capacities andBorn in Karachi, Pakistan, I grew up mostly in Kuwait; and I have been living in the U.S. for 10 years now, in the Washington D.C. area. Long fascinated with America, I chose to attend an American high school in Kuwait and graduated third in my class. Next, I took advantage of a full academic scholarship to Bethany College, WV, graduating, in 2002, Magna Cum Laude with 3.8 GPA. My first choice for graduate school is the Accelerated 2-year MBA Program at XXXX University because I feel strongly that your renowned program is the best match for my interests, location, and especially my extremely high level of motivation.

My area of special focus and concern is international business.  In addition to my academic preparation, my application is also strengthened by the professional experience that I am currently accumulating in portfolio asset management. After obtaining the MBA, I would like to work in an international firm with exposure to a broad variety of multinational clients and partners. My cosmopolitan character stems from my background, growing up in 3 different countries and being exposed to many different cultures in high school as well as college. This has enabled me to greatly perfect my communication skills and enhance my level of multi-cultural awareness, appreciation and understanding.

I look forward to taking the business acumen that I have been developing throughout my past five years of professional activity, coupled to what I will learn in your program, and to make my contribution to society through participation in the march for an ever more globally united world. I am convinced that the movement towards a global economy has already brought and will continue to bring immense opportunities and it is here that I feel that I belong, fomenting economic ties and towards the advancement and enhancement of international business ties and political relations between the United States, on the one hand, and Pakistan and Kuwait on the other, as well as the Muslim or Arab world more generally speaking. I am very excited about spending two more years in full time study so that I will develop a much more sophisticated understanding of many global issues that are related to business and economics, especially those issues that are most pertinent to the struggles of Second and Third World countries to develop and compete in our new global marketplace. With respect to Pakistan and Kuwait, alone, I see enormous levels of untouched potential in terms of human capital and economic growth possibilities.  I sincerely hope to have the privilege of contributing the admirable diversity of your program. I want to thank you for considering my application and I would like to assure you that I will give my all to my studies.
