Tips & Strategies, FAQs
I edit/enhance Personal Statements of Purpose for Graduate, Medical, Law, and Business Schools, as well as Residency, Fellowship, Internship, and Scholarship Programs.
Space is very limited and selection is competitive in most of these programs and many applicants are turned away on the basis of a weak essay. It is wise for you to use professional help since this statement is of such central importance to your professional success, especially since many of your competitors are using professional assistance.
We are proud to be active participants in the creation of a more just, global redistribution of academic resources. We wish to participate in the fomentation of the kind of academic community that fully represents all ethnic, national, or political groups that have been historically marginalized or oppressed. As a result, we offer a very significant discount to people born in the developing world. And we offer an additional discount to those applicants who are willing to pay by Western Union or Moneygram (prices, payment details).
I edit and enhance dozens of Personal Statements of Purpose each month and it is something that we have come to enjoy and take very seriously. And as you can see from a review of samples of our work, we are good at what we do. This is because I have spent many years investigating what makes a Personal Statement of Purpose most effective, what is most important to include, and what is not. In most cases, we spend hours struggling to get all of your information into the space of only 2 pages (double-spaced). This is very difficult, but we keep working until we make each word count, often re-writing sentences and paragraphs several times. We like to think of it as brain surgery.
My service is especially useful for those clients who are applying to several schools since we generally research each program on your behalf, so as to write you statement with that particular program in mind, portraying you as an especially good fit with that particular program; this is often the central key to success. If you apply to 3 schools, for example, we can provide you with 2 additional drafts for only $40.00-$50.00 per draft (for programs in the same discipline), each tailored to a specific program ($80.00-$100 for re-wites for another discipline). This could be an especially important, strategic investment on your part. Please be sure to confirm the precise length limit for each of the schools to which you are applying, in either words or pages and also spacing. In some cases, we end up writing drafts of several different lengths, most frequently 500, 750, 1000, 1500 or 2000 words. The rapid (no rush charge) and extremely high quality of our service is an opportunity that we hope you will not only take advantage of, but also tell your friends and colleagues about our service. We depend on word of word-of-mouth recommendation for finding additional clients. In fact, about one quarter of our new clients are recommended by a current or former client
Helping people with their Personal Statements of Purpose for graduate or advanced professional study or residency is much more than the way that we make our living. It is also our spiritual expression and social contribution. We like helping people and we are proud of our service to others. Even if you are unable to pay our fee, we encourage you to fill out our interview form so that we can send you the information to include while writing your own Statement.
A resume or CV is also very helpful for us to use as a reference. After reviewing your material, if we need any more information, we send you questions via email. Most clients provide us with a rough draft as well as filling out our Online Interview Form. Generally speaking, the more information you provide us with, the better your statement will be. Let's work together as a team to create a masterpiece!
We do not charge a rush fee. Rather, we struggle every day, 7 days a week, to give all of our clients the best and quickest service possible. Our service has become quite popular since the quality of our work is very high and our prices are quite reasonable as compared with our major competitors. As a result, we are able to provide prompt attention only to those clients who have paid for our services. Usually, we attend to our clients in the order in which they have paid our fee. We are almost always able to respond quickly by email to any inquiry and we are usually available on Skype until mid-afternoon EST (New York time). Please do not try to give us the information about yourself that is relevant for your Statement on Skype, however, since we need this information in text form in order to include it in your Statement. But you can feel free to call us to verify, for example, when we will be able to send the draft for your review, or to verify that we have all of the information that we need. After filling out our Online Interview Form and making your payment, if you think of additional information that you would like to include in your statement, please send it to us in an email message so that we can add this to your file.

We can almost always send an initial draft for your review within 48 hours of the time that you have sent us all of the information that we need and have made your payment. The longer the Statement, naturally, the longer it takes. This is one of the great advantages of our service, that we provide rapid, timely service without asking clients for a rush fee. If you want changes made to the document that we send you, we ask you to make a few changes yourself first, if you want a free, final revision. If you don't like something, please cut it out before you send it to us for the second reading!
The Statement of Purpose is the single most important part of your application. While information on your past work is important, it is only relevant insofar as it helps the admissions committee to better understand and appreciate why you want to focus on the problems that currently interest you. The admissions committee is primarily concerned with learning about your current and future research interests and how they coincide, in other words, how the research that you have already done has prepared you for the research that you want to do in the future.A shorter Statement of Purpose that is clearly written is generally better than a longer one. A Statement longer than one to three pages of normal type and normal margin is generally considered less favorable than the recommended statement of shorter length.A successful personal statement is a literate, elegantly written essay in which the student highlights her strong preparation for her intended area of study, articulates her planned area of study and her goals after completing this study, and demonstrates her facility with current theory and practice in this area.In other words, why do you want to go to grad school? How have you prepared for graduate study thus far? What will you study when you are there? What theories and methods do you find most congenial in terms of your area of study? With whom do you want to study, and why? Name the scholars you've found most inspirational or influential. You've chosen the schools to which you're applying on that basis, anyway, haven't you? You must state your reasons for wanting to attend THAT particular graduate program.) And finally, what do you plan to do with this degree once you earn it?
We work with many clients who are applying to more than one school. In fact, we have worked with clients who have applied to as many as 12 different graduate departments at the same time. Those applying to around 6 or 7 schools are much more common. The other magic number appears to be three schools. And, one has to deal with the fact that, the more schools that you apply to, the more one finds oneself stretching the truth a bit, telling each school, more or less, that this particular program is one's first choice, at least implying that this is the case. This part is very important and the wording here needs to be subtle. I suggest saying something like: I am convinced that X department at Y University is the best match for the directions of my research interests and my very high level of motivation. I also recommend that you include one to three sentences detailing which professors you especially look forward to studying under. When you take into consideration the fact that we do each additional draft for as little as $40.00 each, and that we do a thoroughgoing search of the faculty and their research interests in that particular department, as well as the general resources of the university, especially research and conference centers, this represents a very sound investment in your future. No matter how many schools that you apply to, you MUST tailor each essay to each particular program. A general essay simply will not do. This is why our service of tailoring each draft to that particular department is of such critical importance.
The most important guarantee that you have that our service is 100% reliable, that we will be there for you to do all that we can to help you throughout the process, is the fact that we depend heavily on word-of-mouth recommendations to get additional clients. Many of our clients have been recommended to us by a friend or associate. People who are in the process of applying to graduate school, generally speaking, also have friends who are more or less at the same point in their career development, your colleagues, people who you are graduating with from your undergraduate program. I
If you are pleased with our service, then please recommend us to your friends! And please rest assured that we will work to the full extent of our ability to make your application as effective as possible and that we will be there for you throughout the process, to advise you and answer any questions that you might have concerning your application. Send us anything and everything that you think might be helpful!

Other things being equal, a short, effectively written sample is preferable to a longer sample. If you decide to submit a longer sample, you should indicate which 10-12 pages should be reviewed by the admissions committee.I would be happy to review and edit your writing sample as well as helping you with your SOP. The two should be carefully coordinated and this is one of the most important features of my service.
Graduate schools are very tied to numbers; your exam scores are the single most important factor, because they represent objective evidence of your qualifications. This is one of the reasons why it is a good idea, in most cases, to apply to more than one school, usually at least three, and schools with a varied range of selectiveness. Thus, if you do not get accepted at your first or second choice, at least you may get accepted somewhere. The committee has to choose between many students with more or less good scores and this is where the SOP comes in: it makes the final difference. When forced to choose between two well qualified applicants with very similar exam scores, the committee will choose the student that they think has the most creative ideas; because that student most deserves the opportunity. That is why your Statement is so important. A well-written Statement can also result in a large scholarship award or a teaching or research assistantship.
