Professional Writing Service, Editing Help With Your Diversity Statement.

I enjoy very much helping to foster a community of scholars and students united by their commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and its transmission from generation to generation. We celebrate diversity because we see it as fundamental to knowledge itself, advancement in the humanities, the arts, and the social as well as physical or natural sciences. We affirm the importance of a broad and critical education in enriching the lives of students and preparing them for full participation in a changing society. Thus, I seek to empower ethnic minorities and foreign-born students, in particular, to take full advantage of every opportunity to promote their own welfare at the same time that they always remain fundamentally concerned about the welfare of others.

Your Diversity Statement  is your opportunity to show how your own unique ethnic and social background will represent an important contribution to the diversity of the program to which you are applying. It is a pleasure for me to help you with your Diversity Statement, by fostering appreciation and celebration of diversity we ultimately make the world a better place for future generations.

My service is quite different from other statement writing services on the Internet for several reasons. I am the little guy on the web, not a big business like most of my competitors. You deal directly with me. I answer all of your questions completely free of charge and I am solely responsible for producing a statement that you are very pleased with.

Please note that I attend to my clients in the order in which I have received their payments. While I do provide some applicants with a first paragraph at no charge or obligation, I cannot do this for everyone - only to the extent to which I have time to do so and the applicant provides me with inspiring material to work with. If you are in a hurry to meet a deadline and in search of priority attention, you will need to make your payment for my services here on my web site.

Advanced research, scholarship and teaching are strongest when informed by the diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds and experiences of students. This is why I decided to dedicate my life to increasing the diversity of student populations in the universities of English-speaking countries. Our work supports that of Universities that actively recruit underrepresented and socioeconomically disadvantaged students. Together, we all strive to create an environment that is friendly to all races, to both men and women, and to individuals of diverse sexual orientations.

Larger and more established colleges and universities also generally have an Office of Diversity that is particularly dedicated to the school's strategic campaign to increase the number of underrepresented and socioeconomically disadvantaged students. Because of the increasing importance attached to fostering ethnic diversity on campus, many programs ask for a separate diversity statement, in addition to the Personal Statement and/or Statement of Purpose. What is perhaps most important for our purposes, is the way that your Diversity Statement must be well coordinated with your PS or SOP.

Excellence in Diversity Statements

Explain how your personal experiences meet the objectives of the state program in serving disadvantaged communities.

Until the age of 14, I lived in a community which was both disadvantaged and culturally very diverse. I had myself faced the challenges arising from living a bi-cultural life and was aware that many others around me were at different stages in their own journeys. I was also aware of the varied social, economic and health problems faced by my friends and their parents and relations.

I was a shy child but, like many introverts, I was a keen and thoughtful observer and a careful listener. People trusted me with their problems and confidences and I sought to help those who did by suggesting solutions. I knew that I wanted to ‘make a difference’ rather than merely ‘make a living’ and decided to channel my exposure to the many kinds of human pain, my natural empathy and listening skills to an appropriate career path.

Tips and Writing Help for the Diversity Statement

Numerous programs now ask for a ‘Diversity Statement’ as part of the application process, usually in addition to the Statement of Purpose or Personal Statement. It would be an honor for us to help you with your diversity statement. Most programs ask specific questions about diversity which you need to be careful to answer to the best of your ability. Usually, these questions ask something to the effect of how your attitude towards diversity will contribute to the academic community in question? Other questions ask you to recount an experience in your life where diversity was an issue, etc. If you provide us with these questions, and also a rough draft ( in addition to filling out our Online Interview Form), then we are ready to go to work on your diversity statement on your behalf; and make it a work of art that eloquently expresses the complex fabric of your unique ethnic and cultural identity. Finally, it is important to account for the way in which diversity is fundamentally related to justice, equal participation based on merit distinguished by academic excellence and expressed through truth, pursued wherever it may lead. Let us strive together in our celebration of diversity for the development of an increasingly sophisticated consciousness of the enormous power and responsibility that accompany the acquisition of knowledge.

Explain how your personal background and individual strengths meet the objectives of the state program in serving diverse client populations.

I was raised in the culturally diverse environment of Southern California and have happily studied, worked and socialised with people of many cultural and social backgrounds. My practicum training has exposed me to clients of contrasting, cultures, background and types. I believe that I am culturally sensitive to an exceptional degree.

I come from a culture in which the elderly are revered for their wisdom and experience. I am aware that the aging of the population may require a reordering of priorities and the resources in MFT.  I can understand spoken Cantonese and Hakka. The strengths that give me a firm foundation to succeed in this field are natural empathy, an ability to listen together with sensitivity to significant non-verbal signals and an ability to remain realistic about outcomes while having the determination to pursue the best achievable.

Explain how your educational preparation and practicum training meet the objectives of the state system program in recruiting qualified clinicians to work in the public mental health system.

I hold a BA in Psychology and anticipate the award of the MS in MFT in May 2013 and believe that this provides a firm foundation for success in this field. I am currently undertaking practicum training and my clients are undergraduate and graduate students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds facing a variety of personal challenges. I am developing skills in carefully planning sessions and in establishing realistic and client agreed goals. I am overcoming a discomfort with silences and appreciating their potential uses.  I recognize that every client is different and that a tailored approach is always required even if one situation appears superficially to replicate another. I am beginning to understand that all information volunteered by a client is potentially significant even if this is not immediately apparent. I am particularly drawn to working with those facing the most difficult and distressing challenges in life.

Explain how your professional career plans meet the goals of the state program.

My plans currently extend only to acquiring, enhancing and applying my skills in order to help those who are most in need of them. Ultimately, I may seek to help others to do the same in a training role.

I recognize that those in the public mental healthcare system will often suffer the level of distress and be members of the disadvantaged communities that I particularly seek to assist. I want those suffering mental ill-health to know that there really is ‘someone there for them’, indeed someone who can do more than merely wish them well but help them to achieve and maintain that wellness.

I fully share the stated purposes of the MHSA and will seek to uphold and advance them by finding and applying ways of offering hope and an improved outlook and self-image to those afflicted by mental health problems.
